May 25, 2000

I realize it has been a very long time since I have updated this page, but I will try to do a little now.  Since I last wrote I have completed BCS, Nights and WOBC (Warrant Officer Basic Course).  Angie and I attended our graduation ball last week and my wife looked absolutely gorgeous.  The next day she pinned on my wings.  I just received my orders for a follow on assignment and I will be flying the CH-47 Chinook.  We will be leaving the end of August for Hunter Army Airfield on the outskirts of Savannah, Georgia.  We are really looking forward to it and have decided we will buy a house when we get there.  Our first one, I am so anxious.  Angie is only a couple of days away from getting her cosmetology license to do nails.  I am so proud of her.  Jared and I just had our birthday in February,  we had a Barney party.  Jared is growing up so fast, he is only 2 and he already knows his ABC's and is speaking in whole sentences.  I am so proud of my family!!!  Well I will try to write a little more next month.  Thanks for reading!!

November 2 1999

Well I finally passed the primary phase of flight training and yesterday I took a check ride to finish up the Instruments phase.  Within the next couple weeks I will be starting BCS (Basic Combat Skills).  Angie is attending the local community college studying to be a nail technician, she's really enjoying it.  Since the last time I have updated this Jared decided to jump off of the couch and break his arm.  He finally got the cast off a couple of weeks ago and is enjoying a life of more dexterity.   We also bought a puppy last week and Jared and him are inseparable.   Yesterday, November 1st, Angie and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary.

July 31 1999

I finally did it!!! I am flying!!!  I am very happy to say that I soloed for the first time the other day.  I was so excited.  Flight school is going great but there is lots of studying involved.  Angie is currently up in New York right now attending her 10th High School reunion.  Jared is learning new words everyday, it's just amazing how much kids can pick up.  Well nothing more really exciting again this month, just very busy.

June 21 1999

Ken finally started flight school on the 18th of this month.  He is getting very excited about learning to fly.  Angela has been looking into going to school to learn how to do nails and hair.  Jared has been growing by leaps and bounds.  I am very proud to say his first word was helicopter.  I would like to apologize if these pages are not being updated as frequently as we like but it is starting to get very busy around here.

April - May 1999

Ken has been in Warrant Officer Candidate School.  The actual course was six weeks long and he graduated 20 May 1999 and is now a full fledged Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army.

March 14 1999

We arrived in Alabama on the 22 of February.  It was a long and exhausting trip, but we made it.  We are living in Enterprise, AL. All in all it is a really nice place to live.   The weather is great and so are the people.  We are getting ready for Ken to go to WOC school.  Unfortunately I won't be able to see him for 6 weeks, but it all worth it.

December 3 1998

Well I finally did it.  Yesterday I just received word the I will be going to Warrant Officer Candidate School and then off to flight school.  I have been looking forward to this for a very long time.  I would like to thank my wonderful wife for all of her support.  Enough about me.

Jared is growing by leaps and bounds.  He is now 9 months old and doing really well.  Probably only a couple more days until he is walking.

Angie is still trucking right along in school.  She only has about a month left.

November 5 1998

Nothing to report yet this month, but here is what I hope to be flying soon.

September 10 1998

Well we finally did it.  We just sold both of our cars and bought a new Toyota Sienna minivan.  It is absolutely wonderful.  It feels so good to be in a vehicle that's made to be safe.  We bought our Sienna from a dealer in Oregon and had a great buying experience.  The dealer is Lithia Toyota in Medford, OR.  Our salesman was Robert Hering, he is a great guy to work with. great guy to work with.  His ph # is 1-800-866-9005.  Please mention my name when you talk to him. The first person we talked to there was a great lady by the name of Theresa Morris.   Her e-mail address  is toyotalmsales@vertex.vertexgroup.com   She was the one that we hammered out the price with.  Coming soon are pictures of the van. Also check out our links section for Sienna message boards.

In other news, we went to the doctor the other day for Jared's immunizations.  The nurse weighed him and he was 21 lbs 14 oz and 27 1/4 in long.   Since he was born he has been in the 95% for his age group and has stayed there.

Ken is finally sending off his Warrant Officer packet and I hope to have a reply by early December.

Angela is still attending school for her Microsoft certification.   She is doing good and I am proud of her.  Finally we will have some new pictures of Jared sometime soon, so keep checking back.

August 13 1998

Hello everyone,  our little guy is growing so fast.  He is already over 20 lbs.  He is sitting up on his own and he likes to jump around in his jumper.

Ken (that's me) is just finishing up his Warrant Officer Flight application.  I hope to be flying helicopters by this time next year.

Within in the next 2 weeks we are planning on buying a new Toyota Sienna minivan.   We are trying to sell the truck right now, so if you would like to buy a 1995 Chevy S-10 just e-mail me.

Angela just started going to school to become Microsoft Certified.  I am also studying her books so I can do the same.  The average Microsoft Certified person with no experience start out at $60,000 a year.  Kind of nice compared to this military pay.

July 1998

Sorry, not enough time this month.

June 5 1998

Well Jared is now 3 months old and weighs in at 16lbs. He is learning to sit up on his own right now and is doing a good job at it.

Ken (that's me) just registered in college.  While I am here taking a foreign language, the school will give me credits for it.  All I have to do is take 12 elective credits at their school to graduate.  Two of the courses I will be taking are Private Pilot Ground School.  That way I can get my pilots license and it will also help me with my warrant officer application.

Angela just started her time with the National Guard.  Right now she is doing her 2 week a year thing, but at least she gets to come home every night.
